Can I use PostScript Type 1 fonts in Microsoft Office 2013, Office 2016 or Office 365?
Mac OS X
On older versions of Mac OS X, yes. But on Mac OS X 10.11 (El Capitan), and higher, there are some caveats:
- Universal Type Client users will need to deploy a configuration file.
- Suitcase Fusion users should use default settings (fonts are kept in the Suitcase Fusion font vault located within the User's home folder).
On Windows, no. Microsoft Office officially dropped support for using Type 1 fonts in it's Office 2013 release. Type 1 fonts should still function in other programs (Adobe, QuarkXPress, etc.)
