When upgrading or reinstalling Universal Type Server 6.1 for Windows the Directory Service SPN value is lost. This causes an unexpected disruption to the previously configured single sign-on connection.
This issue has been resolved in Universal Type Server v6.1.2 however, it will still occur when the previous server configuration used a SPN account name other than the recommended ‘universaltype’.
See configuration documentation for more information:
If you encounter this issue during a 6.1.2 upgrade or reinstall, you will need to reset your SPN and Password details.
Note: This issue will not reoccur in future Universal Type Server releases.
