Distiller is having issues embedding fonts if they are not installed in one of the following locations:
- C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Acrobat\Resources\Font\
- C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\EQUATION\
- C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Fonts
Distiller requires an absolute path to the font and when you activate a non-PostScript font on Windows, Suitcase Fusion does not write the path to the font in /Windows/Fonts, so you have to specifically tell Distiller where your fonts reside. When activating and using PostScript fonts Windows requires the path to the font to be written into the registry/font folder so that applications can find it, TrueType and OpenType fonts do not require this.
You will need to add the Suitcase Fusion vault to the list of locations where fonts reside, this should allow Distiller to find the font file in question. One thing to also be aware of is if you have added your fonts ‘”in-place” (you can check the location column in Suitcase to see where the font is located) and they are not in the Suitcase Fusion Vault you will need to add any location those fonts reside to the Distiller prefs as well.
The font vault is located here:
C:\Users\<your_username>\AppData\Local\Extensis\Suitcase Fusion\Suitcase Fusion.fontvault
You can find instructions on how to do that here:
The Version of Distiller used may vary the instructions provided in the link from Adobe.
