Description
When I open Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign CC 2014 or CC 2015, I get an error: “The Extensis extension could not be loaded because it was not properly signed.”
This only happens when the Extensis font panel is loaded. This issue only affects the font panel and does not affect our font auto-activation plug-ins.
Solution
Adobe Creative Cloud 2014 and 2015 displays the warning dialog because the digital certificate used to sign our panel extensions expired.
We have issued new installers with updated certificates for the following Extensis applications:
OS X
- Suitcase Fusion 6: version 17.3.1
- Suitcase Fusion 5: version 16.2.6
- Universal Type Client 6: version 6.0.1
- Universal Type Client 5: version 5.2.2
Windows
- Suitcase Fusion 6: version 17.2.2 (see below)
- Suitcase Fusion 5: version 16.2.7
- Universal Type Client 6: version 6.0.1
- Universal Type Client 5: version 5.2.3
NOTE: Users installing Suitcase Fusion 6 17.2.2 for Windows may need to uninstall their current version before updating.
- Go to Control Panel > Programs and Features
- Select the current version of Suitcase Fusion 6 and click Uninstall
- Once the uninstaller has finished, open the Suitcase Fusion 17.2.2 installer and follow the prompts
