As of January 1st, 2023 all updated versions of Adobe Creative Cloud applications moving forward will no longer show, recognize or activate Postscript Type 1 fonts.
Once these new Creative Cloud updates are installed on your computer, they will display Postscript Type 1 fonts as a “missing font” in each of the Creative Cloud applications. This means you will not be able to activate and use Postscript Type 1 fonts in any project moving forward.
Older versions of Abode Creative Cloud applications will continue to support Postscript Type 1 fonts until support for these applications end. End of support for Adobe applications is one version behind the latest release version (CC2023 - 1 = CC2022).
NOTE - Encapsulated or Embedded Postscript Type 1 fonts in Portable Document Format (PDF) or Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) files will still display after support has ended. Any text edits for these projects will be unavailable after January 1st, 2023 unless using a previous supported version as noted above.
Installing a previous version of an Adobe Creative Cloud application.

This step is optional - To retain your app preferences, uninstall the current version before installing the previous version. When prompted to preserve preferences, select Keep.
1. Open the Creative Cloud desktop app. (Select the icon in your Windows taskbar or the macOS menu bar.)
2. Scroll down to the app you want to install and select theMore actions icon next to it.
3. In the drop-down list, select Other Versions.
4. In the list that appears, find the app version that you want to install, and select Install.

How to retain previous versions of your app
When you install a new version of a Creative Cloud app, its previous version is removed by default. However, you can set a preference to retain the previous version.
Enterprise users: If your organization has disabled auto-updates, the auto-update option is not available in the Creative Cloud desktop app.
Select the Account icon in the upper right of the Creative Cloud desktop app, and then select Preferences.
Select the Apps tab in the sidebar and enable theAuto-updateoption.
On the desired app, select Advanced Options.
Deselect Remove previous versions, and then selectDone.
