Symptoms
When opening the Connect Fonts Web application, an error prompts that "Additional Software Needed" or you might see it say "Desktop application not Running" when it clearly is:
Solution
Either the Desktop application has not been installed or Connect's background process FMCore needs to be restarted. You can restart the background process by either restarting your computer or:
MacOS
- Open Connect Fonts Desktop
- Navigate to Connect Fonts > Settings
- Click the button at the bottom labeled "Stop Connect Fonts Type Core"
Windows
- Open Connect Fonts Desktop
- Navigate to Edit > Preferences
- Click the button at the bottom labeled "Stop Connect Fonts Type Core"
