Why should I set up exclusions for Suitcase Fusion?
Some antivirus products interfere with Suitcase Fusion’s ability to activate and deactivate fonts. If you see problems while working with fonts in Suitcase Fusion, you should set Suitcase Fusion as an allowed application (sometimes called “whitelisting”) in your antivirus product to avoid conflicts.
Files and folders to exclude for Suitcase Fusion for Mac
The following folders should be set as ignored or allowed in your antivirus product; a “~” at the start of a path refers to your home folder (usually /Users/username/). Refer to the documentation for your specific antivirus product for details.
- /Applications/Suitcase Fusion.app
- ~/.Extensis/
- ~/Library/Extensis/Suitcase Fusion/
Files and folders to exclude for Suitcase Fusion for Windows
The following folders should be set as ignored or allowed in your antivirus product. Refer to the documentation for your specific antivirus product for details.
- %LOCALAPPDATA%\Extensis\
- C:\Program Files\Extensis\Suitcase Fusion\
“%LOCALAPPDATA%” refers to a hidden folder in your home folder (usually C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\). To open a hidden folder in File Explorer, enter the complete path in the address bar.
To see hidden files and folders by default:
- Open a File Explorer window
- Click the View tab
- Check the checkbox for Hidden Items
