This article applies to Suitcase Fusion versions 21 and 22.0.0 to 22.0.2 on supported versions of Windows.
When I try to upgrade Suitcase Fusion by choosing Help > Check for Updates, the upgrade doesn't complete and Suitcase displays an error:
Starting with Suitcase Fusion v22.0.3, we sign the Suitcase Fusion application with a new digital certificate. This certificate is used to verify that the application hasn't been damaged or modified. When you try to upgrade to newer versions of Suitcase Fusion, or to Connect Fonts Powered By Suitcase, the upgrade process can't verify the new certificate and displays the error message.
You can avoid the error by downloading and running the latest installer for Connect Fonts from https://www.extensis.com/support/connect-fonts.
Installing Connect Fonts won't remove your font libraries or sets. Once you upgrade to Connect Fonts, the updater will recognize the new certificate and update your application properly.
