When you open the Connect Fonts Desktop application (previously Suitcase Fusion) for the first time, it creates a local library to hold your fonts and sets.
You can create new libraries in Connect Fonts to group fonts into separate collections. To create a new library, click New Library.
Connect Fonts creates a new Untitled Library. Enter a name for your new library (like "Synced Library") and press Enter.
You can select fonts in the font view of your existing library and drag them to the new library. You can also create new sets in the library to organize your fonts.
Converting a local library to a personal cloud library
We recommend keeping your Connect Fonts collection in a personal cloud library. Cloud libraries (called "TypeSync libraries" in older versions of Suitcase Fusion) copies your font and set information to the Extensis servers. If you log in to Suitcase Fusion on another computer, Suitcase recreates your cloud libraries automatically.
Suitcase Fusion syncs changes made to a cloud library on one computer to the others. You can't make changes to a cloud library while Suitcase Fusion while is offline; we recommend keeping a separate local library if you need to add or organize fonts while offline.
To convert a local library to a personal cloud library, select the library and choose File > Cloud Libraries > Convert to Personal Cloud Library. Suitcase Fusion moves the library to the Personal Libraries section and uploads your information.
Converting a personal cloud library to a local library
To convert a personal cloud library back to a local library, select the library and choose File > Cloud Libraries > Convert to Local Library. Suitcase Fusion turns the library back into a local library and removes the cloud library from the Extensis servers.
Note: Converting a personal cloud library back to a local library in one copy of Suitcase Fusion will delete the library from any other copies you are logged in on.
