FAQs
Why did the application remove "Fonts" from its name?
While fonts remain a major focus of our application, Connect has grown to be so much more. Asset storage, sharing, and in-app editing. Font licensing, risk management, and project workflow are available to those with a Connect or Connect + Insight Subscription.
Not sure what you have? Head to your Administration tab in Connect to check.
What has changed? How long will it take to learn?
Not long at all! While the interface is updated, the core functionality remains the same and even improved. When you first sign in, helpful guides will provide more information and assist with the transition.

Where can I go to learn more about this newer interface?
What happens to my fonts if I cancel my Connect subscription?
Subscriptions canceled within 15 days of purchase or renewal will be automatically refunded and the subscription will be stopped immediately.
Please be advised that any tagging, metadata, etc. entered in Connect will be lost since we cannot directly edit the font files themselves.
If you are cancelling the Connect subscription, we recommend you export your fonts from Connect first: Collecting / Extracting Fonts from the Connect Fonts Font Vault.

Does the new Connect desktop app work offline?
Internet Connection and Login Requirements:
Connect to the Internet and log in to sync any Font Libraries updated while offline.
Offline Features:
- Auto-activation plugins
- Permanently active fonts
These features will remain functional for up to 30 days without an internet connection before a reconnection is required.
Can I update from my current desktop version to the new app? (e.g. from desktop v24 directly to Extensis Connect v25.2.3?)
Yes, you can update from ANY Connect Fonts desktop app version to the new desktop application.
How can I ensure my font data is in the cloud?
Log in to the Extensis web portal and take a look to confirm your fonts and libraries are present.
