The search field will auto-fill in the selected library. To the right, you can choose to search the fonts in your collection or expand the scope to fonts you don't own yet as well.

Font Sense Smart Tags
As you type, Connect Fonts compares your text with the contents of these fields in all the fonts in your search scope, and will return results as you continue to do so.
A list of the top three fonts that match your result is displayed in real time, followed by the Font Sense Smart Tags that match your results, and last, any Tags that match as well.
If there are no exact matches for your search, Connect Fonts will show fuzzy matches.
Font Sense Smart Tags
When you add fonts to Connect Fonts, we automatically add curated tags to each font.
Connect Fonts lists each font’s Font Sense Smart Tags in the font’s Info panel.
Click the Info button for any font. You can now click on any Font Sense Smart Tag to automatically search the current library for other fonts with the same smart tag.
Pairings
Connect Fonts can suggest fonts to use as counterpoint to a selected font.
To see Pairings options, select a font, then click Pairings.
Connect Fonts shows the selected font and up to five fonts that pair well with it.
In the right side of the panel, we show the two fonts together. Click Switch to swap the two fonts.
Click a different font name to see how it pairs with your original selection.
Choose a different style from the menu below the selected font name.
Right-click on a font name in the Pairings list to activate, deactivate, or change the font’s Favorite status.
Use the activation icons at the top of the font’s information panel to activate or deactivate the selected font.
Note: You can select more than one font, then click a Pairings button. Connect Fonts will show you pairing options for all the fonts that you selected.
