Extensis gathers product information to help better understand our customer’s needs in order to deliver the best software. Participation is optional. Review the following frequently asked questions for details.
What information does Extensis collect?
Extensis collects system and product information such as:
- Operating system, CPU, memory, and storage details
- Product information such as product version and enabled add-ons or optional modules
- Extensis account ID used to activate and license the product
- User behavior
- Number of current sessions
- Number of seats
- Number of fonts
- Workgroup information
- Role information
- other data items
How does Extensis use the information it collects?
The collected information is reviewed to help us improve our products and understand how our customers are using Universal Type Server. We may follow up with individual customers on a case-by-case basis, as outlined in the UTS 7 EULA.
How do I opt in or out of data collection?
While installing Universal Type Server, a dialog is displayed requesting your consent to the collection of application usage data.
To opt out, uncheck the “I agree to share application usage data” checkbox.
Note: UTS must be able to reach the Extensis servers over the internet to collect information. If a connection to the internet is unavailable, the information is stored and transmitted when the connection is restored.
Can I choose to opt out at a later date?
Participation is voluntary and you can opt out at any time. For assistance in turning off automatic data collection, you can submit a support request.
