We've moved, decommissioned, or migrated our Domain Controller and need to update the configuration in Portfolio's Directory Services

This article covers Portfolio 3 on all supported environments
Solution
If the only thing that has changed is the address to the Domain Controller, you can contact Technical Support for assistance.
If structural or organizational changes have been made to your AD structure you will have to remove the current configuration and re-create your mappings. For a guide on setting up Directory Services in Portfolio, please see our Administration Guide. We recommend the following before proceeding:
- Take screenshots of your mappings in each Catalog. This will make re-applying them much easier
- Make sure you have a clean and healthy Portfolio backup should you need to revert to your previous configuration
- Wait to decommission the old DC, otherwise you may not be able to view your mappings before removing them
During this process users added through Active Directory will be temporarily converted to native user accounts. Once the new configuration is in place and the mappings re-created, the users should convert back in LDAP users (as long as their AD shortname has not changed.)
