A Connect Fonts subscription allows the use of both the Connect Fonts desktop application and the Connect Fonts web application. To use the web application in Safari a browser extension will need to be installed first (link to Mac App Store). If you are having trouble installing the browser extension, here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:
Disable Screen Time Restrictions
- Navigate to System Preferences>Screen Time>Content & Privacy
- Make sure that Content & Privacy Restrictions are set to Off
- Navigate to System Preferences>Screen Time>Always Allowed
- Ensure that the box next to Connect Fonts and Connect Fonts for Safari are checked
Make sure Connect Fonts for Safari Has Been Enabled in the Browser Itself
- In Safari, navigate to Safari>Preferences>Websites
- In the Extensions section, click on Connect Fonts for Safari
- Make sure that connect.extensis.com is set to "Allow"
- In Safari, navigate to Safari>Preferences>Extensions
- Make sure the box next to Connect Fonts for Safari is checked
Reset the Privacy Database Settings for Connect Fonts for Safari
- Open Terminal (located in /Applications/Utilities)
- Copy/paste the following:
tccutil reset All com.extensis.ConnectFontsSafari
- Hit enter
- It should respond that all permissions have been reset
- Try installing the extension again
