Brand Connector allows an Agency to share a brand’s font libraries with Brand Partners. Agencies initiate the process by sending their Brand partners and authorized share token. The Brand then activates the sharing connection with the supplied Agency token.
Sharing Libraries
Agencies
In Connect admin, select Font Libraries>Shared Libraries and click "Create Share Token"
Click the "Copy instructions" link and provide the instructions to the Monotype Connect Pro or Monotype Fonts subscription admin (via email, slack, etc)
Brands
In Connect admin, select Users>External Shares and click "Add Share Token"
Paste in the share token provided by the Monotype Connect for Agencies subscription admin and click "Add Token"
Once added you can edit and update what you would like to share with the Agency:
- The lists the name of the Agency you are sharing with
- Edit how the name of your Brand shows up to the Agency
- Select the Team Libraries you would like to share with the brand
Once you hit save, you should see the share listed out in the External Shares tab

Once the Brand has completed it's sharing, the Brand will show up under Shared Libraries
NOTE: You can edit the name of the Brand by clicking the pencil icon next to the Brand name
Click on a Library to select a team to assign read-only access
NOTE: Shared libraries are only assignable by teams and can only receive read-only access. For more information on creating teams please see this article
Suggested workflow:
- Create a new Team and name it after the Brand.
- Add users who need access to the Brand’s fonts.
- Add the shared font libraries to the Team.
The library(s) should now show under "Shared Libraries" in the client for any assigned user
Removing Access
Agencies
To revoke access to Brand-shared-fonts, remove a user's membership to the associated team

In Admin>Users>External Shares, click the trash can icon next to the share you would like to revoke
